There has been a steady decline in car sales in the country. In Q2,2019 there was a 19% fall in the car sales.
Among the top 5 manufactures, only Mahindra had a positive YOY growth in Q2,2019. Tata had the highest decline in terms of 30.21%.
The situation has been worse in July, 2019. All the top 5 witnessed a decline with over 36% decline for Maruti, the market leader. This has been the lowest month for Maruti in the past two years.
